Cleveland Park Train Ride – looking back along the train
For this video, I held the camera down along the running left side of the engine, pointed back. I was holding the camera with my left hand and running the train with my right hand! Fortunately you don’t need two hands to run a G-16. Not much different from the “inside view” video, just shot at a different angle, and you can see the train in a few spots. This was my second attempt at shooting this angle, the first time I had the camera pointed in too far and got mostly the side of the engine!
African Spurred Tortoise Found in Weston, Florida
An African Spurred Tortoise, now named “Broccoli” was found wandering in Weston, Florida in late October 2009 by city crews. Recognizing that this was not a native species, the Herpetologist at Metrozoo was contacted who advised the genus of the tortoise. Not native to either North or South America, these tortoises, complete with horned shell and thick heavy scales on the forearms, live on the edge of the Sahara desert. It is likely someone purchased him through an exotic pet shop; cost estimates are in the $1000 plus range. City crews named the tortoise Broccoli after this very friendly and hungry fellow ate bunches of hand-fed broccoli as well as an entire apple.
